there should be a section for people applications for being a staff game/forums and a section where every month (or something like that) a new topic is posted listing people who are now staff

If you scroll up, just under the shoutbox there's a staff list. And also we have Moderator Applications section it just needs a little bit of tweaking
Good suggestions though
